Pinterest in the Classroom”.

1. I learned that there are different ways to communicate and share ideas with teachers, art majors, just people of all majors around the world.

2. I don't think I would use this as a teacher but I would use this website for like cooking, or potty training  our trying to build some items.

3. The strengths on pinterest  is you can find anything on here by just clicking one word, and you can compare and contrast different answers or different ways to do things.

4. The challenges are that you never know what you will get and you might not get what you want. Also it can be confusing for someone who is not Technology involved.

5.  I personal would not use this site only because of  the challenges of this website. I dont get it.

Khan/Koller Review

When you visited the site, was it something you envisiond to use yourself?

I would not have used this website. It was too difficult for me. I felt overwhelmed and confused and trying to use the site.  The  khan website I can not imagine encouraging my students to used the site because its something I would not use, then I thought about it maybe it wouldn't be hard for my kids to use because they are in the Technology stage, but that leaves me to learn the site better. After perusing so me videos on the site Some were easy to follow and some were not that easy to follow so I am  conflicting on this issues. Some would be easy to use.  I do but I don't believe that Khan was right about saying  "that in the future we will rely more on credentialing through the use of online courses" It can be a catch 22, I do believe that having more online coursed would be accessible or some students but not all like being online. Some children have a short attention span, ADD, ADHD and other disorders that can prevent them to learn   in class and they can do well in front of a computer screen. Then you have children who needs hands on  experience  and doing online courses would not work for them.

My  impression of Coursera :

When I explore the coursera course offering a few coursed look interesting to me, which are  French, education, music, and film and audio.  I am a student now at Columbus State Community College and it looks like  Columbus State Community College  accept transfer credits from coursera.  Coursera courses appear to be more Challenging  and interesting, just because of all that there is to offer and its seems like a prestigious school. and it doses matter who is teaching the course as well  instructor are never the same.  MOOC's are not the "the wave of the future, There can be many disadvantages  of how that will change a students way to receives their education.  Doing Courses online is not always the best solution we take back so much from kids interaction with other kids, and having one on one experience, and there are a number of other reason.

“Ohio DL Schools”

The Ohio DL School that I would chose would be none but if  I had no other choice in schools  I would pick  Ohio connections academy. The reason being is  They have a Julliard music program, and my daughter loves music and wants to be a singer and a dancer, and she is big in the arts and that's is how she learns.  This school was is also tuition free.  and  I would be able to home school my child. which is something I would enjoy doing.

The Ohio DL school  that I would not pick would be ECOT, the reason for me not wanting to chose this school is there is no curriculum   that was noticeable for me to view like it was for Ohio connections academy.  and the website was plan so there was not much for me to view or to search.

Assistive Technology for students with epilepsy

The disability I chose is epilepsy. It can limit a number of things, such as a risk of cognitive impairment. People with epilepsy can develop emotional and mental behavior problems. and limit driving privileges., poor self-esteem, depression, and suicide also play apart in the struggles of epilepsy. I have epilepsy so i am all to familiar with this disability. It can be very frustration though i can live a normal life there are many things that i have as far as restrictions, such as sports, sky diving, driving in some cases, I cant swim unless i am supervised, and the reason for this is dehydration, overexertion, and hypoglycemia, which can increase a episode of having seizures.

There are many things that are designed to help students with this disability some that I have used. Those items included : Light Sensitivity and Audio Sensitivity Flicker-free monitors, Monitor Glare Guards, Browser Options for Animation and ,Audio,Memory Deficits (May Occur After Seizures)Auto-Dial Feature in Telephones, and Hearing and Communication Problems (May Occur After Seizures)Picture Exchange Communication Systems to name a few. I have used the Monitor Glare Guards this is suppose to help prevent a seizure from occurring its a device that goes over your computer screen,tv, phone, ipod, ipad and it helps with the glare of the light from beaming into your eyes and causing a negative transaction to your brain.

The second one i have used is the Picture Exchange communication systems, this is a software you can you to help you communicate after you have had a seizure, because sometimes your form of speech or the way you perceive things might not be what comes out of your mouth so there is a device that shows pictures and helps you get your point across.

In the future we should have some things that come to use for epilepsy and many other disability which are they are trying to make portable products and some things to tie into gps, cell phones so we can speak and reach someone if we come into a problem, with our disability .There are some things I have learned about my own health condition in this day and time and I am happen to do some research and find out some things I already knew and learning new things.

the HTML

My Prezi The Love For Children is leaning towards 1st Grade Audience. I am a 1st grade reading/literacy teacher. Who believes in more than one way of helping children read. There are Different forms and ways to help children read.. view my Prezi link and There is a video attached of my daughter getting help with her reading. This is her 1st grade year.

My experience with using the Prezi  link for the first time was a learning process. This might not be my first choice to use/ I would prefer using  a PowerPoint over Prezi. I like that there were different ways to use different backgrounds  with pictures that would be the only things i like about this link.
